HTC One S – A True Smartphone

This phone is amongst the first few smartphones that are coming pre loaded with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. This dual core phone is bound to give tough competition to Samsung Galaxy Nexus, LG Optimus 2X, Galaxy S2 and other smartphones. The built of HTC One S is quite similar to HTC Sensation but it is much thinner than the latter. The all black finish of the phone looks simply amazing. Even though it is made of an aluminum body, it appears as a ceramic handset and is not slippery.

HTC has introduced new Sense 4 interface in One S, which is a re-modified version of the previous interface Sense. If you have used the Android phones before, you won’t face much of a problem in using the new interface. HTC One S has got around seven home screens that can be customized easily and you can arrange the apps, wallpapers and widgets the way you want. The 8MP camera of HTC One S has got some decent features, including 1080 p video recording.

The memory of the phone cannot be increased beyond 16GB, something that is likely to disappoint the users. However, the Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity option in this phone is much more energy efficient and faster as compared to the previous versions of Bluetooth. The touch screen is more or less derived from the HTC Sensation, with the only difference being that One S uses AMOLED technology. The 540 x 960 resolution provides you with a pixel density of 256 ppi.

Even though HTC One S is not as quick as HTC One X, it is likely to create an impact in the market. It’s 1GB Ram and dedicated graphics processor is surely going to add to its appeal. The battery that is given in the phone is sealed-in and thus you cannot remove it yourself. However, it is decent 1650mAh battery which allows longer usage.

If you are a music lover then do check out the Beats Audio technology used in this phone. It provides quality sound and you will enjoy listening to music on this phone even more.

Lastly, HTC One S has got everything in it be it power, style or features. No doubt that non expanding storage and inaccessible battery are some of the drawbacks, but powerful OS ensures that it provides a user friendly experience. It is no doubt one of the best handsets ever produced by HTC.
