The Chopard Mille Miglia Gran Turismo – A Defining Men’s Wrist Watch

Since the invention of the automobile there has always been a powerful link between cars and men’s wristwatches, especially luxury watches. The race which runs over 1000 miles of Italian roads has become known as the world’s most beautiful road race. Chopard have been the sponsor and official timekeeper of the event since 1988.

The Chopard Mille Miglia Gran Turismo XL is a Certified Chronometer (COSC), this denotes that this is a particularly accurate watch, one with a deviation of no more than 5 seconds a day for a mechanical movement. This luxury timepiece is an impressive 44mm in diameter, its polished stainless steel case rests proudly on the wrist. This suggests a contemporary piece suitable for informal daily use. Two types of strap are available, the Barrenia leather strap or the super cool tactile Dunlop Racing 1960 rubber strap, completely relevant to the parallels of the watch making and motor racing worlds.

This luxury Chopard timepiece has a black dial with luminous applied numerals, minutes defined in red dots, luminous steel hands and red tipped seconds hand. It features a date window at the 3 o’clock position and its Chopard Calibre AO7.111 automatic mechanical movement is revealed through an exhibition case back. This watch is also water resistant to 100m.
