Maserati: Introducing the New Maserati GranTurismo Convertible MC
Maserati is proud to introduce the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible MC, a model that completes the open-top Trident’s range with a sporty, aggressive look. The new car is inherited from the GranTurismo MC introduced on the market only eighteen months ago, which made Maserati accomplish several records for production road cars. The MC is fitted with an engine capable of developing more power and torque sending power through a transmission with faster gear changes; it is equipped with stiffer suspension for optimal handling and clad in bodywork in order to maximize speed while efficiently cooling engine and brakes.
The front end of the car is designed to minimize aerodynamic lift while optimizing cooling and airflow. It is more aggressive in look compare to the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible Sport and features outlets behind the front wheels to favorite the Brembo brakes cooling. The hood incorporates two generous air outlets. The new headlights with LED as daytime running lights complete the exterior look of the GranTurismo Convertible MC. These headlights, introduced with the GranTurismo Sport, exploit the most advanced technology whereas the black matte finish conveys a more aggressive look. The bi-xenon unit inside the headlights incorporates Adaptive Light Control to provide better light to the road while cornering.
The new Maserati GranTurismo Convertible MC rear has a functional spoiler that provides greater negative lift at high speeds. The brake light is built in the luggage compartment, inside the spoiler. The standard version comes with the standard color of the body, but a carbon fiber option is also available. A completely redesigned rear bumper makes the new MC convertible even more aggressive while securing optimal aerodynamic efficiency. The circular exhaust has been moved to the center of the bumper and its air ducts help to stabilize the air flow from the underbody. The Maserati GranTurismo Convertible MC character is enhanced also by its 20″ MC Design rims, available in either matte graphite or glossy titanium colors. They are lighter and feature the traditional Trident into the double-spokes.
The interior has been thoroughly revised to optimize ergonomics: the new seats are completely redesigned to fit both, a more functional and aesthetic need, and are fitted with top-notch materials to provide a perfect balance between comfort and performance, elegancy and functionality. The new front and rear seat structure incorporates a headrest and is enhanced by a central, upper trim featuring the front grille design.
