BMW 3 Series Continues to Be Top-Seller

The BMW 3 Series is one of those models which has continued to be a ‘top-seller’ throughout the decades, much like the Volkswagen Golf.

Just this month, figures have been released which show that the flexible 3 Series recorded an 11.2% growth compared to the same period last year. In total 397 units were sold. BMW recorded healthy sales across their line-up in fact. The BMW X5 dominated sales in its segment with 109 units sold and the X1 performed equally well with 58 units in total.

It’s not just new BMW 3 Series car sales which are doing well either. In August the BMW 3 Series was named the ‘most desirable’ used car. Following closely behind was the BMW 5 Series which was named the 3rd most desirable used car.

BMWs seem to be such popular used vehicles as they are highly reliable, are able to manage thousands of motorway miles, they are safe, comfortable and stylish.

It’s also worth noting that the appearance of the 3 Series has not changed too much throughout the years either, which is testament to the original design concept.

The ‘entry-level’ luxury car segment is extremely competitive and popular, therefore the fact that this model has lasted the test of time demonstrates its superiority. The likes of the Audi A4, and the VW Jetta have tried to knock the Beemer of its perch, and until now have failed. The A4 has come extremely close, but there is no denying the impact the 3 Series has left on the automotive industry.
