Samsung J-Series – Take The Joyride

In the world of mobile telephony, Samsung is a renowned name. Initially known as a consumer electronics brand, this South Korean company has shown enough grit during the last few years by bringing several state-of-the-art mobile phones into the market. The league of Samsung mobile phones is getting bigger on a continuous basis. After the huge success of the D-Series, E-Series and X-Series mobile phones, Samsung has now moved towards J-Series, another impressive lineage of handsets.

As of now, we have only two handsets under the Samsung J-Series – J600 Blue and J600 Silver. Both the handsets are slider designed and carry the same features except the colour. The Samsung J600 works on Tri Band technology and measures 97.8 x 44.8 x 15.2 mm and weighs 92 grams. The handset has a 1.9 inch 65k colour TFT screen with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. With the Samsung J600 Silver incorporates a 1.3 megapixel camera with 4 x digital zoom. The phone not only captures stills but also freezes sharp and clear videos. It also supports MPEG4 and H263 video playback.

The handset also features an integrated music player with MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ and WMA formats support. FM radio is another fabulous feature inculcated in the phone. Connectivity features are also standard – Bluetooth, GPRS and USB. Internal memory is standard with 20MB. What’s more, it also supports memory expansion through MicroSD memory card. Game-lovers will surely like features such as Java games and downloadable games. Additional features like My Menu, speakerphone, auto time setting, email, Vcard, Vcalculator, WAP 2.0 Browser, polyphonic and MP3 ringtones, predictive text input etc. make the phone even more feature-rich.
