Speed and Class: The Porsche 911 GT2 RS
History of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS
While most Porsche models have already gone a long way, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS is one of the automobile company’s baby coups. Production of the Porsche 911 GT2 series started in 1993, and while it had been one of the revolutionarily “pretty” automobiles of the German manufacturer, it has undergone a lot of upgrades, mainly on its features and engines.
A Monster on the Road?
The Porsche 911 GT2 RS’s fluid, organic body is often considered to be quite a design that expresses its bullet like capabilities. While most Porsche models are often known to fly off the roads, the 911 GT2 RS is one of the Porsche’s that have been produced to be street legal. This means that unlike the usual performance cars that have been banned on the road due to their speed, the 911 GT2 RS is perfectly legal to drive around anywhere, but would have lesser power.
Power for the Chosen Few
This should not put you off however, as the 911 GT2 RS is the fastest street legal model that Porsche has ever built. And it has only been limited to 500 units. Yes, only 500 people will ever own this vehicle. This gives anyone who owns this Porsche model more muscle than most street legal cars on the road. The lightweight chassis of this model has a reduced weight of 154 lbs. While you might feel exceptionally lighter with maneuvering it around, you still have an incredible speed as it runs on 90 horsepower, and can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 205 mph.
Luxury in Swiftness
While you might get carried away with the specs, you can feel rest assured that the interiors of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS will very much please even the most discriminating of tastes. The basic colors in the interior of this model would be those found on the seat centers and on the roof linings contrasting elegantly with the basic black interior.
