Tag Heuer is a Swiss watch making company that started in 1860. Driven by the desire to produce accurate timepieces that looked superb the watchmaker Edouard Heuer soon had received patents for his technology. Heuer was the first company to be accurate to 1/100th of a second. Today the amalgamated TAG Heuer group is known for its innovation and excellence, making it one of the sought after brands.
The link model for men and women was introduced initially in 1987 under the Sports Elegance brand and was re-launched in 1999 as Link. It was designed to architectural elegance combined with the power of steel. It has retained popularity since release but updated in 2007 to keep it current and moving with people’s tastes.
The bracelet band has is designed to have no visible connectors or pins. And standard issue is the double safety clasp. Steel shows no wear and tear, scratches or marks. Faces are constructed from highly resistant sapphire crystal most of the range is water resistant to 200m.
The new release continues to showcase the company’s commitment to innovation. The electro-mechanical chronograph has been released which is a movement away from the traditional three dials that have been standard. With 230 components including five motors the accuracy achieved is no surprise. Not all model come with the chronograph feature.
