Green Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera
The latest development from one of the greats in the luxury car arena, Lamborghini, is the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera. This new luxury car also gives a nice green environmental wink, as it boasts an attractive coat of green paint.
Lambo’s latest family member is dynamic, powerful, light and of course, aesthetically pleasing. This is, of course, a family known for its good looks and hard bodies. The Gallardo Superleggera has a tough act to follow, that of its beautiful predecessor, the LP 560-4, who debuted in 2007 and sold 618 units in one year.
The LP 570-4 manages to be even lighter than the already trim LP 560-4, by 154 pounds, yet another testament to the remarkable and lightweight carbon fiber luxury material. The 19-inch Pirelli P Zero Corsa wheels are incredibly light and feature sports rubber, helping the cause.
The performance of this Lamborghini is enhanced by the better weight-to-power ratio and lower overall mass. This also reduces the CO2 emissions 20.5 percent lower than the Gallardo LP 560-4. Well, I will be damned, this green beauty really is green.
The specs of the Superleggera LP 570-4 include a powerful 5.2-liter V10 engine capable of hitting the 0-60 mark in about 3.4 seconds with an impressive top speed of 202 miles per hour. It has a six-speed, robotized e-gear transmission as standard, and gets 17.4 miles per gallon.
The luxury motor also has an all-new launch control mode that cranks the 90-degree, all-alloy engine up to 5,000 rmps before catapulting off the line.
Body changes are miniscule, and mainly focus on aerodynamics. The redesigned shape forces more air into the radiators and also manages to provide more down force over the front axle.
This certainly seems to be inline with the luxury brands history of sexy and powerful exotic cars and will be ideal for both a new toy, and a luxury rental car option.
